 C.M.C. Antideflagranti S.r.l., located on Via Niccolò Copernico, 56 - 20090 (MI), manufactures and sells electrical safety equipment suitable for installation in potentially explosive atmospheres.

Our products, classified according to their degree of protection, include explosion-proof Ex-db, increased safety Ex-eb, intrinsically safe and watertight Ex-ia.

SWITCHES - EFSC/EFS SERIES 

Switches, switches and inserters suitable for hazardous areas classified as Zone 1,2 and Zone 21,22

The EFSC/EFS series switches, change-over switches and inserters are rotary with a control knob on the front, both lockable and non-lockable, and allow maximum flexibility for every technical requirement. They are suitable for both new and existing installations. They are made of light aluminium alloy with stainless steel external screws. The series includes three models of different sizes suitable for increasing current ratings (16 A, 32 A and 63 A) and voltages up to 690 V AC / 660 V DC.

The standard outer jacket is grey. Other RAL colours are available according to customer requirements.

Design: Ex db IIB or IIC / Ex tb IIIC, IP66/67, ambient temperature: standard -20/+40°C and extended -50/+80°C

EXPLOSION-PROOF LUMINAIRES


The lighting product range consists of lighting fixtures and floodlights for all applications, such as lighting large spaces but also tanks, small rooms or laboratory hoods. We can also supply portable lamps as well as emergency and escape route lighting.

LED EVF luminaire

Due to their mechanical resistance, the EVF...RUN or EVF...RUNLT series LED light fittings are recommended for use in all hazardous areas where gases, vapours and dusts can create potentially explosive atmospheres, classified as Zone 1,2-21,22.

They are designed for the uniform illumination of rooms and structures that require little vertical space and high light output, combined with the transparency of the protective glass tube, allow a wide-range, less fatiguing and more pleasant light diffusion in any working environment.

The simple cleaning of the glass tube guarantees the same lighting performance over time and easy availability of internal components for maintenance makes them ideal for minimising system downtime.

The EVF... series LED luminaires are available in a single-lamp version or in a twin-lamp version with connection kit. In emergency operation it is equipped with a 4Ah Ni-Cd battery on request 7Ah.

AVL... AVLE luminaire...

The AVL... series LED increased safety light fittings can be installed in hazardous areas where there is the possibility of an environment with a potentially explosive atmosphere, classified as Zone 1.2-21.22 where a high degree of protection and corrosion resistance is required, such as process areas in the food industry, chemical plants, off-shore and/or on-shore petrochemical plants, etc.

The AVLE... series in emergency is equipped with a 4Ah Ni-Cd battery on request 7Ah.

SVN luminaire

The SVN series LED luminaires can be installed in hazardous areas of industrial plants designated as Zone 2, Zone 22 such as those found in chemical plants, on-shore and off-shore petrochemical plants, laboratories and process areas of food plants. In general, due to their mechanical robustness, they are chosen to be installed in all those production processes where environmental conditions would deteriorate any other material, putting the safety of the working environment at risk.

The materials used in their construction make them suitable for all environments where high protection against corrosion, dust, water and humidity is required.

LTC Exe mb IIC LED Tubes

The LTC... series lighting fixtures for 9/17/26/35 W LED tubes are designed for installation in confined spaces such as laboratory hoods or tanker trailers and for inspection and maintenance work in all potentially explosive gas and dust-hazardous locations classified as Zone 1,2-21,22. They are robust and at the same time handy and lightweight with a high IP rating and excellent light output performance.

EVA-EVC-EVJ Series Illuminating Arrays

EV series lighting fittings are used in potentially hazardous areas classified as Zone 1,2-21,22 for the illumination of indoor or outdoor structures in industrial areas such as chemical plants, refineries, rubber production or process areas of food or pharmaceutical industries. They are suitable for halogen, energy-saving, LED or incandescent lamps where permitted by national standards. They are also used in off-shore plants in the AISI 316L stainless steel version.

The standard version consists of an aluminium body with a low copper content and a borosilicate glass part with high mechanical resistance and high temperature. Three connection models are supplied:

EVA suspension installation with one 3/4" port.

EVC ceiling installation with two or three 3/4" ports.

EVJ wall installation with two 3/4" inlets.

Several models of different sizes ensure a complete range to cover various needs. There is also the possibility of converting the EVP50 lamp into a portable inspection lamp.

Linear LED lighting assembly in aluminium

The LED linear lighting fixtures we offer feature a high-quality anodised aluminium body combined with an impact- and temperature-resistant glass diffuser. An innovative bracket system with no interaxis constraints allows easy installation and the option of rotating the lighting assembly at -30°/0°/+30°. Available in different lengths and with a wide range of voltages and wattages, the linear armatures have been optimally designed and certified according to the area of installation and have passed all the tests required by the regulations for use in potentially explosive atmospheres classified as Zone 1,2-21,22. From an electronic and lighting technology point of view, the use of high-power LED strips made it possible to achieve a lumen output ranging from 1,000 lm to 15,500 lm with high efficiency and guaranteed durability.

There are also versions designed to be in ATEX Zone 2 and Zone 21,22 areas, i.e. where the equipment installed must guarantee a normal level of protection in the presence of mixtures of gases, vapours and mists (Zone 2), and a high level of protection against dust and combustible particles (Zone 21). This safety is guaranteed by Ex ec protection modes for gases and Ex tb for dusts.

Versions with emergency operation can be equipped with a battery box, to facilitate maintenance and/or battery replacement, or with special batteries for applications with ambient temperatures down to -60° C.

Linear LED lighting assembly in plastic

The LED linear lighting fixtures we offer feature an antistatic, glass-fibre reinforced, UV-resistant polyester resin body and impact-resistant polycarbonate (IK09) with a transparent part for light transmission. An innovative bracket system, with no interaxis constraints, allows easy installation and the possibility of rotating the lighting assembly at -30°/0°/+30°. Available in different lengths and with a wide range of voltages and wattages, the linear armatures have been optimally designed and certified according to the area of installation and have passed all the tests required by the regulations for use in environments with possible presence of explosive atmospheres classified as Zone 1,2-21,22. EXPLOSION-PROOF LED FLOODLIGHTS

Explosion-proof projectors made of light aluminium alloy with multiled plate are suitable for installation in environments with a possible risk of explosive atmospheres classified Zone 1.2-21.22. Thanks to the quality of the materials used in construction, the ingress of flammable gases, vapours or mists during normal operation of the projector is limited. The LED floodlights with different body sizes are the LED alternative for all areas where low and medium power discharge fixtures up to 400W are usually installed. The aluminium housing with fins acts as an excellent heat sink for the LED plate present, thus achieving lumen outputs of 2700 lm to 28000 lm.

Enclosures


INCREASED OR INTRINSICALLY SAFE ENCLOSURES

Enclosures with increased or intrinsic safety, made of aluminium alloy, stainless steel or glass-reinforced polyester resin, are used in electrical installations in industries or laboratories where a potentially explosive atmosphere may be present. This type of enclosure can be supplied with certified modular terminals for branching and routing both power and signal cables. 

They can also be customised with pilot lights, push-buttons, measuring and signalling instruments for hazardous areas. As per regulations, all work must be carried out exclusively by explosion-proof C.M.C.

WATERTIGHT ALUMINIUM HOUSINGS

Watertight enclosures are normally installed in industrial plants or parts of them where there is no danger of an explosive atmosphere. The materials and surface treatments of these enclosures ensure good resistance and stability to both light and temperature, while maintaining mechanical protection against shocks and stresses in humid, marine, or salt spray environments.

These enclosures, available in low-copper aluminium, stainless steel or glass-fibre reinforced resin, are mainly used as junction or cable routing enclosures, but can also be constructed either as command and control panels or as display points for physical process quantities.

EJB EXPLOSION-PROOF HOUSINGS

The EJB series enclosures in aluminium with a low copper content or in stainless steel, are suitable for installation in all those areas of an industrial plant where there is a danger of the presence of an explosive atmosphere classified as Zone 1,2-21,22. The main function of the EJB enclosures is to be either junction boxes with the function of terminal block and busbar holders, or enclosures for electrical equipment such as switches, contactors, fuse holders, transformers, reactors or intrinsically safe barriers; the enclosures are also used for the construction of command, control and signalling panels, distribution boards, and motor start-up boards with different configurations according to customer requirements. As per regulations, all holes must be drilled exclusively by explosion-proof C.M.C.

La funzione principale delle custodie GUB è quella di essere sia cassette di derivazione con la funzione di porta morsettiere e busbar, sia contenitori di apparati elettrici come interruttori, teleruttori, porta fusibili, trasformatori, reattori o barriere a sicurezza intrinseca. CABLE GLANDS FOR UNREINFORCED CABLE

The PNA series cable glands for unarmoured cable are produced to allow the direct entry of unarmoured cables into explosion-proof equipment such as enclosures, lighting fixtures, sockets and plugs. Equipped with an internal grommet to tighten incoming cables, they guarantee Ex-d execution and IP 66/67 protection rating. Easy to install, they are also suitable for use in the harshest environments, such as the marine environment, and in installations subject to frequent mechanical shocks and stress, such as in heavy industry. CABLE GLANDS FOR ARMOURED CABLES

The PAP series unarmoured cable glands are produced to allow the direct entry of armoured cables into explosion-proof equipment such as enclosures, lighting fixtures, sockets and plugs. These cable glands have a rubber grommet at the inlet, which tightens the cable and ensures Ex-d and Ex-d execution, so as to prevent the ingress of water, moisture and dust and ensure IP 66/67 protection. Thanks to their ease of installation, they are also suitable for use in the harshest environments, such as the marine environment, and in installations subject to frequent mechanical shocks and stress, such as in heavy industry. The PAP series cable glands are Ex-db and Ex-eb marked.

POLYAMIDE CABLE GLAND FOR UNARMOURED CABLES

Polyamide cable glands for UNI series unarmoured cables with ISO thread are suitable for explosion hazardous areas and allow the entry of unarmoured cables into Ex-e and Ex-i equipment. Robust and easy to install, they allow Ex and IP sealing on the outer cable sheath.

BARRIER CABLE GLAND FOR ARMOURED AND NON-ARMOURED CABLES

PNAR armoured and PAPR non-armoured cable glands provide IP66/67 and explosion protection in applications where they are required according to EN - IEC 60079- 14: 2015. A special mixture flows through the conductors, guaranteeing a complete seal and ensuring locking. Thanks to the liquid resin, there is no risk of voids forming between the conductors and the bushing.

RESIN FITTINGS

Locking fittings are used to prevent gases, vapours or flames from propagating through the pipe system of the electrical installation; they are subdivided into EYS - vertical locking fittings - and EZS - horizontal locking fittings. They must be installed as close as possible to the box and filled only with the appropriate CRV420 resin from the catalogue.

SEALED NIPPLES

EKC THREADING FITTINGS

EKC threading fittings are used in electrical pipe installations to facilitate the threading of cables. Thanks to the opening on the back, they allow the inspection of the installation and the insertion of electrical cables.

DB TERMINALS

DB terminals made of aluminium or PVC are screwed onto the end of the pipe as cable protectors. Their use prevents the cable from being damaged by rubbing against the end of the tube.

ALUMINIUM TERMINALS WITH DBT GROUND SCREW

Aluminium DBT terminals are screwed onto the end of the tube as cable protectors. Their use prevents the cable from being damaged by rubbing against the end of the tube. DBTs have a ground screw for earthing the reduction

DL CONTRODUCTS

DL series locknuts, made of metal or polyamide, secure cable glands with cylindrical threads on walls or flanges of Ex-e or Ex-d enclosures where there are holes for cable entry.

GF UBD AND GAFFETTE

UBD series jibs are used for fixing rigid pipes to flat surfaces.

GF-series cleats are used for fixing rigid pipes to walls or flat surfaces

S Series Boxes

The S series, group IIC round cable and junction boxes are made of aluminium alloy or AISI316L stainless steel. They are used for threading cables or shunts with multi-pole or modular terminal blocks. 

The different models we supply can be installed in Zone 1/ 2 , 21/ 22 and used at operating temperatures between -40 °C and +150 °C (depending on their size, the type of gasket used and the terminals used).

S-series boxes can be supplied raw or painted, with fixing bracket (model SF) in Ex-db, Ex-eb, Ex-ia execution.

Optical / luminous indicators

The EV series luminous indicators are used with fixed and mobile signaling and alarm systems. The standard version consists of a low-copper aluminum body and a glass part; the signals are produced by LED strobe lamps, with an optical unit equipped with an E27 fitting.


Based on different connection models, the EV luminous indicators are divided into:

  • EVA - suspended installation with a 3/4" NPT inlet
  • EVC - ceiling installation with two or three 3/4" NPT inlets
  • EVJ - wall installation with two 3/4" NPT inlets


Upon request, a greater number of inlets or other types of threading can be provided.

The EV luminous indicators are manufactured in three different size models (EV50, EV100, EV200) to meet various space and visibility requirements.


Flexibles

Flexibles for classified hazardous areas as Zone 1 and Zone 21 Ex db / Ex tb - IP66/67. The TFN flexibles, available in various lengths and diameters, consist of a flexible stainless steel hose AISI 321 with a sheath made of AISI 304 wires and terminal fittings at the ends.

Acoustic indicators

The ETH acoustic indicators are used in open and noisy environments, in the presence of a potential explosive atmosphere.

The acoustic indicators have a 16-tone circuit with enhanced selectable sound power. The acoustic transducer has an impedance of 16 Ω and a frequency of 2 KHz.
